This training is ideal for those who already understand the foundation of Inspiring Behaviour Change (IBC) and want to develop their skills in having more effective conversations about animal rights with friends, family, and strangers.
In this practical, interactive training you will learn:
- How to move beyond debates and arguments and create conversations that encourage genuine reflection
- How to recognize and respond to defensiveness, resistance, and challenging reactions
- How to navigate identity and ego without making people feel attacked or judged
- How to ask effective questions that help people explore and articulate their own values
- How to identify opportunities to connect someone's values with their behaviour
- How to apply IBC to a range of real-world conversations and common objections
The training will be approximately 2 hours, followed by a 1-hour Q&A session.
Who leads this workshop
Mery She/Her
Regional Support Lead: Europe at We The Free
Mery became vegan in 2019 after a truly inspirational conversation with an activist she met while staying in an Airbnb during her English studies in Bournemouth. That conversation helped her realize that she wasn't living in alignment with her values, leading her to make the decision to go vegan.
