Advocacy Training
Advocating for animals can be quite a challenging task. Anyone who has been told that “plants feel pain” or “lions eat zebras” when exposing the brutal violence against animals, understands this. Instead of engaging in frustrating debates, why not spend time inspiring others to connect with their existing values and take action toward no longer harming animals?

Recording Outreach Conversations
Chris Hines is a respected animal rights activist with many years experience of recording and editing animal rights footage.
This is a recording of a past workshop.
Chris kindly agreed to provide some tips for the best way to record and edit outreach footage, so that we can share outreach conversations on WTF social media and other platforms. As we know from outreach conversations with millions of views on platforms like YouTube and Tiktok (who may have even influenced some of us to go vegan), outreach conversations can plant a seed with one person but a recorded conversation has the potential to reach a much wider audience.
Topics Chris covered in this workshop include:
Introduction
What will be needed to record a decent quality outreach conversation(camera, mic, stand, anything else).
Fair priced mics and cameras/phones that will provide high enough quality.
Software suggestions to edit footage.
Techniques to record discretely(most people have never recorded in public before).
Tips to remember when recording outreach.
