This training is an introduction to Inspiring Behaviour Change (IBC), designed for anyone who advocates on behalf of nonhuman animals and wants to have more effective conversations with friends, family, and strangers.
In this course, we'll cover the fundamental principles behind IBC and get a practical introduction to how it can transform our vegan outreach conversations.
We will cover:
- Why people can become defensive when we challenge their behaviour
- The key principles of IBC
- How to use simple questions to help people explore their own values
- How values can create opportunities for behaviour change
- The foundations of having more constructive, inspiring conversations
- How to handle objections with ease
This is a beginner-friendly introduction to IBC, covering the essential concepts and tools to get started. For a deeper, more interactive and advanced exploration of IBC, join our IBC Masterclass.
The training will be approximately 1 hour, followed by a 1-hour Q&A session.
Who leads this workshop
Mery She/Her
Regional Support Lead: Europe at We The Free
Mery became vegan in 2019 after a truly inspirational conversation with an activist she met while staying in an Airbnb during her English studies in Bournemouth. That conversation helped her realize that she wasn't living in alignment with her values, leading her to make the decision to go vegan.
