Ruben has been vegan since 2020 and got into activism in 2023. As a developer with 6 years of experience, he uses his skills to volunteer at Fish Welfare Initiative (FWI) and Cage Undefined. At FWI, he builds and maintains an administration panel for their Alliance For Responsible Agriculture program. At Cage Undefined, he mostly works on a hosting panel that serves various other animal organizations.
At We The Free, Ruben works on existing and new projects where he'll deliver new features, stability and performance. Before working at WTF, he worked at a small digital agency in The Netherlands, where he gained most of his skills. And just after that, he took a year off to travel before starting at WTF.
Ruben is passionate about making a positive impact on the world through his work, and especially on animal welfare.
Having a positive impact on the job is really important to me, especially when it involves animals.
We The Free really brings that together, while also making animal activism more traceable through innovative ideas. Being part of WTF, I really feel like I can make a difference.
