🐾 Paws, Paths & Pastures: 2-Hour Social Walk! 🗺️🌱

Looking to connect with fellow advocates, enjoy the fresh air, and get a fantastic weekend walk in? Join us for a 2-hour circular social walk that captures the absolute best of Chester—from its open wildlife meadows to its ancient historic walls, followed by a drink at a wonderfully dog-friendly venue!

Whether you are bringing your four-legged companion or just coming for the community, everyone is welcome. Here is everything you need to know:

⏱️ The Details

• When:Sunday 8th November
• Meeting Point: The Groves Riverside Promenade (Near the bandstand)
• Distance: 4.5 miles (7.2 km) — an easy-to-moderate, mostly flat circular loop.
• Duration: Approx. 2 hours of steady walking with time for a few photos!

🗺️ Our Route Itinerary

• Leg 1: The Wilderness Loop (Earl's Eye Meadows) 🌾🐾
  We will kick off from The Groves, cross the Queen's Park suspension bridge, and head straight out into the wide-open, protected wetlands of Earl's Eye Meadows. This is a beautiful green corridor right on the edge of the city, teeming with birdlife and perfect for dogs. 
• Leg 2: The Canal Towpath 🌊
  We’ll loop around the massive bend of the River Dee and track north to join the peaceful Shropshire Union Canal towpath. Walking along the water, we will pass historic locks and old brick warehouses as we make our way back toward the town centre. 
• Leg 3: The Ancient City Walls 🏰
  We will climb up onto Chester’s famous Roman City Walls for our final stretch. This elevated path keeps us completely clear of traffic and treats us to stunning, panoramic views of the city rooftops and the historic Roodee Racecourse. 
• The Grand Finale: Cruelty-Free Post-Walk Drinks! 🍻
  We will step off the walls and walk straight into The Architect pub. They are highly rated on HappyCow for their excellent, clearly labelled vegan/vegetarian daily menu.
